I’ll be joining in at least for a short time! I unfortunately have a preexisting commitment at 8pm on the 22nd, but I’m hoping to at least stay for the reading and on following Tuesdays I should be able to remain for further discussion.
Hi Frederick, We have two things going on zoom -- a monthly precept discussion group and some morning zazen -- I can link you to the person hosting if you're interested.
As for combining zoom with our in-person practice, I am not at all in favor of it. The hybrid form always seems awkward to me and I don't think we really have technology suited to capturing all the voices and faces and so on. I appreciate your interest. We're really growing quietly at our own happy little Pittsburgh pace. Varun is welcome to have another view, and Trevett too, who is leading the Four Noble Truths discussions.
You'd appeal to a lot of SFZC students like myself, and many others as well. It would bring positive attention to your sitting group, and extra income for Catherine and your group. Of course, you might decide the group is fine as it is ... but I know zoom has been a tremendous asset to SFZC and many other efforts, we we all spend time on programming "from away".

Currently we're not set up for Zoom, but I'll discuss with group and see if it's possible!
